Lest We Forget

November 11th,1918 was the day that the First World War ended. It was a horrific war in which words cannot describe. Poison Gas, Trenches, Trench Foot, victory and defeat. Soldiers around the world have experienced terrible events. We cannot forget those who fought for us; those who believed in peace, freedom and prosperity. Young men died to make the world a better place, and did so honourably. It is our duty to ensure none of their sacrafices are in vain. When the clock strikes 12 am on November 12th, 2015 and forward, don't forget about the day before. Don't forget the importance of Rememberence Day. It is our duty to remember and honour those who died.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place: and in the sky The larks still bravely singing fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead: Short days ago, We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved: and now we lie In Flanders fields!

Take up our quarrel with the foe To you, from failing hands, we throw The torch: be yours to hold it high If ye break faith with us who die, We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields
